We focus our strategy on acquiring open-air retail centers, including grocery-anchored community centers, lifestyle centers and power centers. Most of the properties we focus on are between 100,000 and 300,000 square feet, and between $15 and $40 million in value.
Monarch has developed strong relationships with lenders, brokers and tenants across the U.S. over the past several years, and has acquired over 2 million square feet of retail properties since 2013. We are rapidly growing our portfolio, expanding our geographic footprint and creating value for our investors. We work with brokers, lenders and directly with sellers, depending on the transaction.
Our primary focus is on the Southeastern U.S.; however, we consider properties beyond that footprint that are within our investment criteria.
We are rapidly expanding our current portfolio and we seek to acquire another 3 million square feet over the next several years.
